Frozen Wasteland

This is an idea for a post-apoc campaign that centers around driving an ice cream truck across the destroyed and former United States. Brainstorm quick ideas.

1. A region is controlled by the sons of convicts, who after being exposed to radiation, could breed with each other creating a barbarian society.
2. A part that involves the truck getting stolen by chop shoppers
3. A supply run in a zombie infested mall.
4. A meteor striking somewhere in middle America that cuts off travel directly east to west and caused the nuclear war.
5. A man in the south who claims to be and resembles Jesus Christ.
6. A scientist who poses as a wizard with robot servants.
7. Megamutants (ogres) control the mountain pass.
8. Group gets lost and has to seek out a radio control tower and the hermit within to find there way.
9. Mole men cause the road and our adventurers to fall into there subterranean realm. Can our adventures escape?
10. Fetch quest for the toll keeper on the only bridge across.
11. Find and rescue the mayor's daughter who has been taken by bandits into territory infested with giant radioactive lobsters.
12. Encounter "Mad Mouthers", which seem to be obese people exposed to too much radiation, they try to eat the contents of the truck and the people driving it.
13. Seek out the Equinis, a man said to breed the most hearty horses, ones that could keep up with the truck and survive the trip.
14. Convince or threaten a pair of rivals into both attaching hot air balloons to the truck to get over the Grand Canyon.
15. Run the desparatos out of town in exchange for gas.
16. Save the refrigerator repair man from roving monster truck raiders before the contents melt!
17. Go into the depths of a cult's vault to retrieve the truck's tires which they have taken to appease their cartoon god.
18. Get prairie sail-boarders to reveal the secret to getting across the worm infested plains.
19. Catch a uni-toad for the brewmaster.
20. Elude a military unit who wants to capture the contents and bring them in for themselves.
21. Find a "muffler" that Sneaky Pete has convinced the party that they need to replace in order for them to continue.


Motivation:
The motivation to go on this quest is to deliver ice cream to the president, who is the son of the president who was in office during the war. For delivering this, the president is willing to offer them a place on the untouched west coast, a place of beauty and happiness, one of the last of its kind. Or, if the party prefers it, he can give them power, weapons and soldiers to return and conquer the land for themselves. What man gives these things for ice cream?

NPC character: The President
President Rick Palin is the heir to the presidency of the former United States. Without a body to vote, the former president convinced the people that remained that she was to remain in power and that her son would inherit that right. While this technically makes him king, he stays with the president title. Although fully corrupt, he keeps the right people in the money and is very charismatic.
